Poetry sale for first harvest

As a friend just reminded me, Lammas is tomorrow.  Lammas, first harvest, also called Lughnasadh in honor of Lugh.  Who I'm suddenly getting the distinct impression I should know more about...  Ok, mental note made.

Today, I received an acceptance letter for my poem, "An Herbalist's Loves", from Expanded Horizons.  I'm really thrilled about this.  They publish some amazing work!

Seeing as it's first harvest and thus the beginning of the school year, I find myself entering a reaping phase of the year in regards to writing.  I have some stories in progress, a poem or two to finalize, but the work should be done by harvest's end, Novemberish.  I work in cycles and the fall is the thick of my teaching year.  There's also a metric ton of grad school work to complete and stay up on.  I expect a diminishing coming, and that's fine.

I'll grow fallow towards winter and get ready for next season.

Wheel of the Year: rock on.
