I sold the painting!
I am totally over the moon about this one :)
He called me this morning and let me know. $1500, and the best part is...
He let me know that HE'S HANGING IT BETWEEN A CHAGALL AND A MIRO!
WOW.
Talk about validation. Whew!
also- it seems like having work hanging in his house will be excellent exposure. People come to see his colllection, other art collectors... way exciting. !!!
I've been very bouncy today. :) And I restocked my paint (which turned out to be great timing cause they were having a super holiday paint sale- big $30 tubes for $13, $14 tubes for $6.99 yay) and got more turpentine. Yay. (got advance loan from my mother, who's visiting). I got home with (wait, not home, STUDIO- lost track for a second there) new brushes and paint and turp and went through all my oil supplies- cleaned everything, threw stuff out, etc. Felt good. Feel so ready for more of this.
So excited, so validated, so feeling good about my work.
Looking forward to doing lots of sketching in spain that can later be made into digital/print/paintings to start a series in the style of the painting I just sold. YAY.
