Acuvue soft contact lenses have amazing regenerative powers. I somehow managed to miss the saline-filled cup when taking out my right lens last night, and found it a shrivelled husk this morning. Figuring it couldn't hurt, I gingerly placed it in the case with a fresh squirt of saline. Lacking a replacement, I wore my glasses to work and got lots of compliments by my lovely female co-workers, so that was nice. When I got home this afternoon I checked on the lens, and lo and behold, it was good as new. I'm wearing it right now and it feels fine. Technology rules.

I gave blood this afternoon. Because I've donated over a gallon at this point I got a "give blood + give life" bracelet in the mold of those ubitquitous cool badges, the "live strong" bands. I am one of the cool kids now!
