Hey, guys! I'm suffering from an acute pilots attack tonight (always)--advice on how to alleviate some of the symptoms? Fic or vid recs, maybe? Sometimes I feel like I've seen it all (over and over again b/c that's my thing) so anything off the beaten track would be especially great

Eh, I had Tara and Anna, who had already found a lot of this, so I'm not the best person to ask. I see a lot of fic getting posted on themockingjay (and some cool icons, too), but of course there is no quality control. I tend to go by rec lists from people I trust, follow those authors, and then find other authors through them.

Here are some Gale/Johanna recs (no worries about F/J; those two are all about the unrequited love and dooooom, which is right up my alley but not for everyone):

[untitled aka the offspring fic, pt. 1] ) (not exaaaactly Johanna/Gale, this is centered around Jo&Gale's son and Katniss&Peeta's daughter. REALLY good, though, and I think electrumqueen may be planning to delve deeper into Johanna and Gale's relationship and their relationship with their son like she did with Katniss/Peeta in the sequel HERE.

This next rec, the boy on fire trilogy, is not Gale/Jo (it actually involves some Gale/Katniss and Gale/Madge), but I'm really looking forward to reading it. It's an AU centered around the idea that Gale, rather than Katniss, went to the Hunger Games...with Madge Undersee. Part the first: I Never Meant to Kill You. Part the second: This Fire (It's Burning Us Up). The third piece hasn't been posted yet.
