Barcelona
Quick post. Orange was absolutely lovely; fantastic well-preserved Roman theatre with its ´stage wall´ still standing, one of only 3 in the world. Lovely Arc de Triomphe, roman-style. Of course I ate an orange in front of the Orange sign, and Sue took a picture.
Got up super-early for the train to Barcelona. we´ve been walking around on the main drag, La Rambla. Lots of people. Nice churches. Tomorrow we´re going to be multifaith, going to a synagogue and Guadi´s church La Sagrada Familia. Apparently there are supposed to be mosques here so we´ll see if we can get any of them as well. No tank tops though.
We´re loving the palm trees; it´s only rained once so far on our whole trip. We´re staying in luxury tonight; the hotel actually has an elevator (4th floor, i.e 5th because the first floor is labelled 0). The shower actually has a post to hang the hand-held shower head on (instead of the floor) and the towels aren´t like sandpaper.
I bought some white tea today. Thank goodness most of the people speak English here because my Spanish is very rusty and I keep asking for the wrong things. At least I haven´t said I´m ¨´embarazada´´ yet. (i.e. pregnant. )
Gotta go; our prepaid computer time runs out soon. Dinner starts here at 10pm!!! See y"all soon!
