Second crest predictions
With all this snow melting away, we've been expecting a second crest on the Red River. This one should be between 38 and 40 feet, according to the National Weather Service, and we can expect it on or about April 18, which is the anniversary of the Grand Forks Flood of '97. The Almighty has a sense of humor. :)
I'm taking some time off in late April and early May, just to get away from work, get away from flooding, and just generally to get away. This winter and spring have made me feel decidedly cooped up, and it's time to stretch my legs a bit. Admittedly, I have to visit my dental hygienist torturer before setting out on Thursday. :P
