^__^ I knew you had the whole series, because you sent the whole series (plus a lot of other stuff) to me last year! *I don't think I can thank you enough ever for that*
If you would like to, that would be very appreciated!
One of my favorite scenes from this is the scene where Tomo and Kenshin are staring out at the water -- Tomo's sitting on the rocks and Kenshin's standing beside her.
I ... think I remember that--they were in town selling medicine--or perhaps it was right when they'd arrived--but the movie people had actually incorporated real water or something, right?
It was right after they arrived at their 'safe' house and they'd gone first to a shrine and then into town. And you're right, real water was incorporated into that scene.
I've watched several Samurai X episodes before... but I'm not sure which one that is. Maybe you can translate it into Chinese and I might be able to help out! XD lol JK
Well, "Trust and Betrayal" is actually a prequel OVA movie-type thing to the series (is the series called Samurai X in Taiwan? They call it Rurouni Kenshin over here *shrug*).
--Hey, whenever my cousin is done with it, and I can figure out how to do it, I could try to copy it for you if you want. The one that hcolleen sent me has the option of Japanese with English subtitles, or English, so you should be able to understand it XP
White plums, "you made the rain bleed," and dichotomy. Kenshin himself is torn and does not realize it. The whole Kenshin premise goes well with something I recall from "The Prophecy." Someone describes angels as beautiful, but with one wing always dipped in blood. (Paraphrased, of course) and that is Kenshin/Battousai. Sometimes it's like he's stuck at fourteen years old, but has onw wing (figuratively speaking) dipped in blood. If I knew how to get a screencap I would get you that Tomoe's spirit picture you referenced; I know exactly what you mean.
If I were going to do an original piece of art, I would include white plum(s), the scarf, Tomoe's dagger, the mirror (but cracked), and either blood or a shadow, whichever was more appropriate for the audience. (Maybe a shadow that fades out to red at the bottom to symbolize blood. Perhaps a sword as well...
Oh now I want to draw it! And I cannot draw to save my life!
White plums! >< I remembered the iris but I forgot until you mentioned the white plums! That *has* to be somewhere in there, you're right (plus it'd contrast nicely with the dark background).
Those are all terrific suggestions, I'll definitely have to keep those in mind as I try to sketch this thing out!
Haha, well, I am not really drawing it--this will be computer art, which is in some ways easier, some ways harder, than drawing it all.
