Well,

The time of Finals is nigh! I have my first one tomorrow, at eight in the morning, for Christianity II. I'll probably get up a little earlier tomorrow so I have a bit of time to eat some non-mobile breakfast and review my notes for that class, but it's not going to be anything that I should have spent today studying for.

Which is good, because the main activity of today was devoted to driving out with Johnna to Warrensburg, a smaller town about an hour out of Kansas City, to pick up -- a cat! Since Chaos's previous owner started missing her dog pretty badly, he hasn't been with us for about a week now, and we thought that we want an animal, but perhaps it'd be better to go in the feline as opposed to canine direction. So Johnna's sister hit up Craig's List, a call or two was made, and now Butters, or Kyo-Kyo (Johnna's favorite anime is Fruits Basket, if that explains the name change), has been with us for about six hours now and has proven himself a most chill feline, the type that'll look at the parakeet but doesn't actually want to eat him, who's pretty quiet and chooses the oddest places to hang out (like the spot of floor behind the couch in the front room), and thus far has been sort of a lurker, until you catch him lurking, then he scrambles and slips across the hardwood floor XP He's kinda funky looking: sort of the same angular body and facial structure as a Rex or a Siamese, predominantly strawberry blonde coloring with white socks, and funky gold eyes. I'll try to post a picture sometime this week.

Aside from the cat I went up to Westport for a couple of hours yesterday scoping out a few shops I've been meaning to check out, and scouting for gift ideas for people, but what I've probably devoted the most time to doing this weekend, when not just dicking around with no real objective, has been working on my final for Philosophy of Technology. It's an 8-10 page paper final that's due at midnight on Thursday; thus far I've accomplished three pages, so I'm feeling pretty good about it. At our disposal we have a book and essays from our main textbook, but we need two external sources, which I believe I've located at our library and shall go take a look at tomorrow morning after the Christianity final. I've already directly referenced Ronald Green, the author of the book we read in class, and indirectly referenced Martin Heidegger, and I believe I'm just now entering the section of the paper where some heavier citing is going to take place.

I've also been working off and on over the past two weeks on a little something fandom. It's a one-shot, or maybe a two-shot, not sure yet, that right now I'm calling "Virus." I plan on using this piece to jump back into updating stuff. I'm going to work on it some more this week and maybe it'll get posted next weekend; I'm hoping that my timeliness and the content won't disappoint!

Oh, and I know full well that I've got a handful of comments that I haven't replied to yet. No worries, I've not forgotten, and those who commented shall get my feedback soon, just not tonight since one or two of them require something decently intelligent-sounding ^^
