Octopus tastes like rubber, though not especially in a bad way, and the suction cups look like the taste buds on a tongue. And they're fun to put in the youngest sister's bag of Taco Bell take-out. And in the freezer to show to the day care kids come Monday *grins*
The July issue of Esquire caught my eye at Dillons today. The cover features model, Bar Refaeli, with text from a Stephen King story on her body. I thought when I saw it earlier that it was some computer artist's neato job of matching the text with her contours, something I think I might do for this one story I'm doing in the book for my art class this coming semester.
Turns out they actually painted that text on Refaeli's body, which might be even cooler. Picture of the cover may be viewed here -

I wrote what has to be my crack-iest crack ever the other night, Mukuro/(pregnant)Kurama. And all you mpreg haters, I've written a deconstruction mpreg fic too, so leave me alone, nyuh! I wrote it while watching something on the poet Rumi, so I think consequently it's got this funky rhythm to it, but I kinda like it. I gotta finish writing/revising the last two scenes of that chapter, and revise the first scene, and then it's post-ready. Hopefully we reach that end sometime this week.
Other tidbits ... the weather's gone from hot to thinking-it's-fucking-England for a few days, and working its way back up to hot. But that's weather in the Midwest for you. I called a friend of mine I'm meaning to make plans with sometime soon yesterday, and apparently his current living situation involves a three-foot-long crocodile wandering around the living room, so there's my heads-up, haha. And I'm still looking for work. I'm going into town on Monday to fill out an application with a maid service. I just wanna get some funds squared away, a bit saved up for my first month in the duplex would be nice. Money's been tight, so if I can hit anything pay-wise, I'm not complaining. So for now, I'll keep looking, and see if I can rake anything in.
But for now, as in right now, I'm gonna try to work on this uber-crack a little more, hit the shower, read some shit and call it a morning night. Later.
