More adventures with the Sims 3
In our last episode, Ianto and Christopher's eldest, Mikale, had just aged into young adult.
Since then, I got frustrated with the broken patches and quit playing for a while. Then the rumour mill started whispering about a patch that actually fixed what the previous 4 had broken, so I updated my game, installed the expansion pack, updated all my mods, and went exploring.
The biggest change was the ability to add non-default skin tones. This means Christopher is finally the right colour.
Ianto approves.
As evidenced by Mikale's birthday party, the family is huge. Left to their own devices, Ianto and Christopher spend most of their time making babies.
Next eldest after Mikale is Zachary.
Zachary spends his time painting, picking on his sisters, and traumatizing Ianto with his latest conspiracy theory. Strangely, anyone not related to him finds him incredibly charming.
Next in line is the twins Siani and Rhys.
Rhys is the resident hippy. I have never seen such a laid back sim. When he's not donating to his favourite causes, he's perfectly content to spend hours in the garden or playing his guitar.
In other words, he has absolutely nothing in common with his parents.
Siani is Rhys's opposite, driven and competitive.
Siani... "What?" He already has a girlfriend. "I know. Me." *facepalm*
Rhys wants to be a rock star when he grows up. Siani wants to rule the world.
Then we have the younger twins, Emily and Dierdre.
They are still young enough that their individual personalities haven't really started to develop. They spend most of their time together, painting, fishing, or playing catch.
This many sims means things can get a little crazy, especially around mealtimes.
So Mikale decided it was time for him to start his own family and proposed to his high school sweetheart.
Christopher and Ianto wasted no time filling the gap left by Mikale moving out.
I'll leave you with Ceri contemplating her birthday sparkles. Next time, we'll check in with Mikale and Jamison and see how life is going for them in a brand new town.
