Maybe what Cloud and Sephiroth both need are more pandas in their lives?

(Only you know Sephiroth would, like, scan them for HP and elemental weaknesses and Zack would be all, "They are not for killing.")

I think everyone needs more pandas in their lives, personally.

(He so would. Of course, then Cloud has to convince Zack they're not for eating, either.)

For some reason, I'm picturing Zack going after a panda with a pair of chopsticks.

ZACK: I swear, I was at this restaurant in Wutai and they had panda on the menu. For real!

Twig and I once discussed that they really should have just provided Zack with some melted butter and claw-crackers, and sent him after jenova. The whole Nibelheim mess could have been averted.
