The X-ray late Friday showed there was no fracture or other bone damage.

But Monday's MRI showed injury in the left thigh: stresses on the quadriceps muscle (group), and one ligament torn clean through. Yuccchhh.

The leg injury I described three days ago in A big blunder ( LJ) is slowly improving. I'm able to walk without significant discomfort, though it's still a limp, with the left leg held always straight, and best with a walking stick. I'm not going out much, though.

For a week or more it has been too hot and humid to get the bicycle practice I need so much, or else it's been either raining hard, or wet underfoot from recent rain. So this evening I thought would be a good time. It's 88°F (31°C) but the humidity is only 57%, so it doesn't feel nearly as awful and draining as it has lately.
