Crow Planet: Essential Wisdom from the Urban Wilderness by Lyanda Lynn Haupt

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A short thought-stirring book, a meditation on crows. Crows are one of the animals that actually seems to benefit from human development and expansion. But they are associated in the human mind with death. The book is both personal and global, considering the impact of humans on the planet but without being a diatribe and searching for optimism and thought rather than blame. Nature, in fact, is everywhere. It's not just when we escape to a park or a mountain cabin. The crows prove that by living amongst us and our concrete. This book may change the way you think about the world and that alone may prove a very positive thing. I loved this book and highly recommend it.
