More reading

Despite all the chaos going on, I have recently finished two fantastic books.

The Chinatown Death Cloud Peril by Paul Malmont - I thoroughly enjoyed this homage to the classic pulps of the '30's, which puts the authors of some of the best pulps in an adventure of their own. If you're in the mood for over-the-top action and high adventure, find it. Here's the Amazon link which provides a better plot description than I can provide. A lot of fun.

The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman [audio version] - This book has been on my to-read list for far too long. I broke down and got the audio version for my trip to St. Louis and for the days spent travelling back and forth with my move. This audio version is wonderful. Pullman himself reads the text with many voice actors reading the individual character dialogue. I've requested The Subtle Knife from the library for my trip to L'ville and Lancaster and Lexington . . .

Go read.
