I think I'm going to delete my LiveJournal. DreamWidth seems more active these days, and it doesn't have the ads (I let my paid account expire, because why? My last post was back in March.) Is anyone else watching the new Voltron? I need someone to flail with, and I've quit Tumblr. (Anyway, I was a fan back in ye olden days - it was my favorite show as a small child, and my first online fandom in the late 90s! - and it is kind of surreal watching the reactions of people who only really know the reboot.) -

I'm going to Iceland next month. Just for a few days, but I'm excited to be traveling somewhere new and interesting. I'm only a little apprehensive because my cat - Sophie, naturally - was diagnosed with diabetes literally the day after I purchased my tickets. I'm glad I withdrew from the Star Wars fandom (and from all fandoms, really) this year, since it allowed me to approach "The Last Jedi" with a mostly open mind and very few pet theories. And for the most part, I really liked it. ( Some spoilery thoughts ) -

I actually enjoyed "Thor: Ragnarok", much better than the first Thor, or the two Avengers films I've seen. (I never saw Dark World or Ultron.) It took a little too long to get started, but once it did it was goofy fun. Though whoever said that ( Spoilers ) -
