Ask me my opinion about anything from Deathly Hallows. Go ahead, shoot.

* Also, I wrote smutty, spoilery Ron/Hermione fic! I like this one. But then, I tend to like fics that have titles even before I start writing ( Read more... )

1. What did you think about the deathly hallows concept for the final book? not necessary in book, horcrux hunt was enough? works fine? take it or leave it?

2. You may have discussed this already..but what do you really think about dumbledore? Is he an ends justifes the means guy, no matter what Harry thinks? He doesnt seem to have planned this thing out very well. Suppose Mr. lovegood decides on another outfit for the wedding--what happens then?

3. Ron changed quite a bit from HBP to DH. Heck the entire book was practically about his effort to "win" hermione. And some have made the remark that Ron had to make himself worthy of hermione (btw, i really hate that line of thinking). I didnt see that effort from hermione. Do you think by the end of the book she really gets Ron and his insecurities? or down the road is she going to need a epiphany of her own?

4. So is James an ass or a good guy? I don't really know what to think of him.

1. Well, it did scream PLOT DEVICE! And I think Rowling could have written around it, maybe found something else to distract Voldemort while Harry hunted Horcruxes. On the other hand, I like learning more wizard lore, and I like the idea that Dumbledore, as a young man, dabbled in something Dark. But I don't think the exclusion would have hurt the book ( ... )

on one of your entries i got the impression you were a fan of ted and andromeda. If you haven't already read it, i would highly recommend "a keen observer" by deepdownslytherin. This fandom is so damn big that i don't have any sense what is well known or not.

I think its one of the best long fanfics i've read. There are some inconsistencies and liberties with canon timelines, but if you want ted and andromeda, and a great historical context for the wizarding world, its a great read. I like it because it presents the rise of evil (and the role of purebloods), which i've always found more interesting than the inevitable defeat. Plus, it has a great bellatrix before she becomes completely batshit insane.

Ooh, thanks! I don't generally read long stories, but I do love me some good Ted/Andromeda. :)

Oh, I like that meme.

1. What do you think happened to Rodolphus? I've been wondering about him for a while.
2. Do you think Dumbledore was really training a soldier in Harry?
3. What was your least favorite part?
4. Do you have a question about the book? As in, something that makes no sense to you and would like to have someone clarify.
5. what's the best page in the whole book?! Hahha.

1. He was Stunned during the flight from Privet Drive, right? If he fell, Stunned, from a great height, I think it's likely he died. We never see Bellatrix react, but she's so crazy she'd probably be proud to be the widow of someone who died for the Dark Lord. I think that if he'd survived, he'd have been mentioned again, during the battle. Unless he died in the first phase of the battle ( ... )

Poor Rodolphus. So underused. :p

I'm so curious about Moody too! What the heck happened to him? And what happened to Greyback? Mmmm.

625, you mean!

Luna: product of her environment or loopy goodness all on her own? Somewhere in between?

Bit of both, I think. She's at an age when many kids attempt to assert their independence from their parents - past the age, really. And I can't see Luna acting contrary to her own nature, so yeah, I think she really is that loopy, and her confidence and faith probably come from her environment.
