smutty, spoilery Ron/Hermione fic! I like this one. But then, I tend to like fics that have titles even before I start writing

2. He didn't even know that Bill and Fleur wouldn't postpone the wedding until after the war - providing they survived! I think Dumbledore is basically a good person, with Machiavellian tendancies. I don't think he relishes any of the cruelties he heaps upon Harry at times, but sees them as necessary for the greater good. Not really my kind of person, but I definitely find him more interesting after DH.
3. I think she "gets" him. I think she "got" him as early as HBP (when she helped him get a spot on the Quidditch team) or possibly in OotP, though my memory of that book is a bit fuzzy. I think she's empathetic, but she needs him to get over himself. I think that removing them from school for a while was important. Ron is quite smart, just not book-smart, and that really shone through in DH. Hermione seemed more empathetic, less competitive. Not that competitiveness is bad, but she can be pretty tactless.
4. He's both. That's the lesson we learned from Snape - that someone can be a Good Guy without being good. James was a jerk as a kid, but he grew up into a man worthy of Lily's love and Harry's admiration.

I think its one of the best long fanfics i've read. There are some inconsistencies and liberties with canon timelines, but if you want ted and andromeda, and a great historical context for the wizarding world, its a great read. I like it because it presents the rise of evil (and the role of purebloods), which i've always found more interesting than the inevitable defeat. Plus, it has a great bellatrix before she becomes completely batshit insane.
