I've got to say, I'm not in love with the epilogue by any means, but I like knowing that everything is all right, and everyone is still happy and safe. Rose is a pretty name, but where did Hugo come from? I'd have thought they'd name the kid Fred. But maybe Ron's elder brothers beat him to it.

Huh, Snape. Well... Okay, so he was noble and Dumbledore's man through and through, blah blah blah. Fine. I figured the death had been pre-arranged. But the fact that he loved Lily all those years doesn't negate the shitty way he treated his students. Snape was a very brave man. He was still a bully, and I don't think Neville will naming any of his children after him.
I've read about that interview where Rowling says that Arthur got the reprieve and Tonks and Lupin died in his stead. She really made it sound like a trade and honestly, at this point in the series, I'd have traded ten Lupins for one Arthur. (I feel worse for Tonks because she was so much younger, and barely had a chance to be cool. Plus, I feel so badly for Andromeda.)
Lupin, WTF? He sort of redeemed himself toward the end, when he was clearly smitten with Teddy, but YEESH.
Not really bothered by the fact that Ginny didn't have much to do, but still gets Harry. She's not the heroine. She's just the girl the hero loves. And I can see how giving her more to do would have been problematic.
I'm guessing the Ministry got hold of Moody disposed of him itself. Poor Moody. And I was hoping for zombie!Moody.
Whatever happened to Crookshanks? I don't remember seeing him. Perhaps he went to Australia with Hermione's parents.

Oh, this has been fun. These books are like the first Star Wars trilogy. They're not the most amazing cinematic works by any means, but they're so much fun and you just love them despite their shortcomings.
