If you're still awake, and it's fairly clear where you are, and you're in the northern/western hemisphere, go outside. There's a meteor shower! I think it's the Geminids. I saw three meteors! (carolefurr please correct me if I'm wrong, but... Okay, they're meteoroids in space... Meteors when they hit the Earth's atmosphere - shooting stars... And meteorites if they hit the ground? Is that right?)
It's a beautiful, clear (freezing) night. You can see plenty of constellations, including Orion, the Big Dipper, Canis Major, Taurus, the Pleiedes... I forget what else.
