Less fatigued, more congested. Bleh. And it's a GORGEOUS day. I want to get out and enjoy it, but no.

Last night I posted Get Out the Map, in which Santana and Brittany go on a road trip. It's part travelog, part epistolary, part character study (mostly of Santana). It was fun to write (I love my girl) but it took longer than I'd anticipated, and I'm itching to tackle a few other projects. To wit:

1. Finally finishing my revision of Ensign Lance, a Voltron story I first posted more than 13 years ago. I'm cleaning up some of the language, taking out a lot of the in-jokes and original characters (though I can't get rid of all the Star Wars references - the boys are fans - or the story would be about 40% shorter). That's nearly done, actually.

2. At the Academy, Carol Marcus and Liz Dehner and Christine Chapel get drunk together. This is for the "Little Miss Perfect/Mary Sue" square on my bingo card. I want to address some of the ways these ladies aren't perfect. And I also kind of want Carol and Christine to make out. (Question: in real life, Alice Eve's eyes are different colors. I assume she wears contacts when playing Dr. Marcus, right?)

3. A continuation of my Richard III ghost story. I know where he's hiding (his ghost, I mean) and I'm excited because I think it's clever. This is the version of Richard that we see in The White Queen, so he's innocent of the princes' murders, but still kind of a jerk in some ways, in the manner of many medieval kings. It's also very much about Anne Neville, and told from her POV. Well, her ghost's. I'm going to write to get it done by Halloween.

I love Google maps, and I'm kind of a dork. When I read or watch something that mentions an address in NYC, I almost immediately have to look it up on Google maps to see if it really looks the way it's portrayed. Carrie Bradshaw's apartment is not at the address she gives in SatC. But the Castorinis' house in Moonstruck is at 19 Cranberry Street in Brooklyn (though it's bigger in the movie). It's a nice-looking block. *yearns*

Is anyone else having trouble cross-posting from DW to LJ? I have it set to cross-post, but it doesn't work.
