  • Bid on me at help_nz! I'm offering fics to the top three bidders. Fandoms: Star Trek (2009), Star Trek TOS, Star Trek DS9, Star Trek TNG, Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel the Series, The Dragonriders of Pern (Gen about any character(s), or any ship I've written previously. I'm also amenable to most canon ships.)

  • My attempt at writing a ficlet a day is not working out. I have about 300 words of my first purimgifts story, and still no idea what I'm going to do in terms of graphics.

  • Still trying to plot out this hurty fic (that actual working title is "A Show of Strength," which is kind of generic, but fits). Not sure how long I want to mess with the characters this time. On the one hand, they're very sad and traumatized. On the other hand, at least one of them knows what he needs. Heh. Anyone want to listen while I bounce ideas around?

  • I took Lloyd to the vet for the first time since adopting him. I'd been going over his adoption papers the other night and realized he was due for some shots. I also wanted to find out which of his microchips (he came with two) had fallen out. I was a little nervous. I thought maybe the vet, whom I've known for years, would think I'm a bad cat mommy for letting my cat's microchip fall out of his body.

When I asked, though, Dr. C told me that that's what happens when they don't put the chip in right, and that nobody gouged the chip out. Oh. Well, good. Sophie and I are off the hook, and nothing terrible happened to Lloyd.

Actually, the first thing Dr. C said to me was, "His name was Plankton?" And he agreed that that's kind of a silly name for a cat.

Anyway, Lloyd is in excellent health, and was very well-behaved. He met a couple of other cats and a dog who was just waking up from anesthesia. Everyone agreed that Lloyd is a sweet, handsome, curious boy who could stand to lose at least two pounds. :P

So, that's good. I wanted to show him off. I love my cat.
