  • Holy crap, I want to go to Washington, DC at the end of October to see the Stewart/Colbert rallies, omg. If only I had a job. *wails*

  • Mom brought my dinosaur earrings to work with her the other night and managed to sell 5 pairs for me. \o/ Some people said they'd probably buy more around the holidays, so I guess I'm going to keep the store ( Read more... )

The comics have her commanding the Yorktown as a commodore, so you'd be set there if you'd wanted your Crew Of Girls to cover the very tail end of her active duty? It would also be possible to have all the things, assuming that Sulu's Excelsior went into service shortly after Yorktown's decommissioning.

Could work. I was thinking that if One is 35 or so in XI, she'd be in her early 60s when Gigi graduates from the Academy (assuming she starts going there at 17, which is kind of how I see it). In TOS, Kirk became an admiral in his late 40s, but he's Kirk. So, yeah.

I kind of like the idea of Joanna serving with Sulu, now that she's 36 and an accomplished doctor, and he's a fairly youthful 50. (Which, considering John Cho is almost 40, that's not so hard to believe!) I like One as Saavik's mentor. And Gigi's a troublemaker. But she's brilliant. So they don't keel-haul her.

Ye-ah, my pet theory is that they kicked Kirk upstairs to get him to quit causing trouble, because he's Kirk.

I'm not sure whether you could swing having Demora stationed on Sulu's ship; it could be construed as a conflict of interests?

Probably. But Demora would probably still be in the academy when Gigi starts her first tour. Unless Demora was conceived between Sulu's first and second tour with the Enterprise.

*g* They promoted him to keep him out of trouble, then demoted him back to captain when he stole the Enterprise. Oh, Kirk.

If you selected "the laws of everything bend for Jimmy T," you would be correct. :P
