(no subject)
Email from my instructor: "This exercise is designed to be fun and creative; don't make it onerous for yourself."
And from later in that same email: "This is what Tom Wolfe referred to in his book The Painted Word as 'gun-to-the-head scholarship.'"
I feel like these statements are somewhat contradictory.

I've been looking at myself on Delicious, which I'd never ever done before. I'm amused and enlightened. Apparently:
1. my readers are better at summarizing my stories than I am
2. that whole Bones/Winona thing made an impression :D

I have now written 700 words of a follow-up (not a sequel!) to "Armed With Every Precious Failure." They're just talking. Sometimes I feel like that's all people ever do in my stories.
(Except, no. For these two fics I've signed up to write, there is action! Like, actual action! Which generally requires a plot. Oh, help and bother.)

I have rented "The Princess and the Frog" for tonight.
For after I write my cover letter.
