Tomorrow I have to deal with the police department about my night parking permit. Which I ordered over a week ago and which isn't here yet. The old one expired on the 31st, so... I kinda need the new one! They're generally nice - or they have been when I've had to deal with them about avoiding getting tickets - but it's really annoying. I just want to be able to park close to where I live without being afraid of getting a ticket! Wtf?

I got to work at the reference desk by myself today. The entire time, almost. We're on inter-term right now, so it's fairly quiet, but still. They wouldn't turn me loose if they didn't trust me, right?
