I'm actually not guilty of very many of those, but the ones I *am* guilty of hurt/comfort WHAT I tend to write quite a bit of. That stuff pushes my buttons like no other.

Also my current OTP in my current fandom is CANONICALLY HURT/COMFORT DUDE.

and I'm pleased to say that I seem to have avoided all of those cliches........by some miracle. *snort*

Nah, it's not. I just wanted Bones to be really quite happy in this story, and that required some plotting. *g*

I like some of those cliches. H/C? Doesn't get old. In certain fandoms, anyway. (Wingfic? Not so much.)

Oh wait, I stand corrected--I've done apocalypse ST fic. :D Although some of these cliches aren't really...cliches, are they? eg whumpfic--that's more of a genre, isn't it?

(and I'd love to see wingfic, if it's done in a plausible way.)

And good, plot isn't required. *snork* Wasn't planning on having any, anyway, haha!

Wing art can be very pretty and evocative. I can't help thinking that giant angel wings would get in the way, especially in bed. (I think that was an issue in my parody. Also, molting.)

Some of them aren't cliches so much as they are tropes of particular genres. I mean, how is childbirth a cliche? It's not. It's the way the characters react to a given scenario that makes something a cliche.
