hd-erised reveals are up, so I can claim the fic I wrote for the fest now! This was a pinch-hit, and I'm really honored the mods took the chance on me to come up with something in a couple weeks, because this exchange fest is just freaking loaded with an absurd amount of talent. If you're looking for some fanfic to read, you could not do any better anywhere than checking out the masterlist on the Erised page. I have been blown away by the writing this year, and I'm way behind on reading so I haven't even consumed it all yet. And there's art, too! I'll do a rec post as soon as I can!
My own is kind of closer to my heart than usual, because I've been wanting to write about Draco and the ghost in his garden for a long, long time, but it never seemed to fit in anything else I was working on. And then the story got more intricate than I'd planned and it kept growing, which isn't a problem unless you have two weeks to get the thing done and a very time-consuming 5 year old. The mods were kind enough to give me a 5 day extension, and I raced toward it hoping it all held together at the end. I think it could have been better, but I'm still pretty happy with it.
