Monday is picking grapes out of fruit salads. Tuesday is running after stray balloons. Wednesday is forgetting a step in the dance. Thursday is falling in love. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are staying in love.

a/n: I have another oneshot actually a lot more but only one is thought through enough for now in the making but you're going to have to bear with me on that one because it'll be longer and has to be more developed ;_; ugh development takes so long to work and plan through. but umm I'm hoping to finish it over this upcoming weekend ^^ anyway, for now, please enjoy very short but fluffy oneshot~

Jongin does not remember the days, only the memories. He does not recall that Monday is September 3rd, or Tuesday is September 4th. He remembers Monday as picking out grapes of fruit salads, because Kyungsoo likes grapes and fruit salads are only offered on Mondays in the building's cafeteria.

"I can't wait for it to be grape season," Kyungsoo says as he chews. Jongin sets another grape on the container's lid for him. "I don't understand why you don't like grapes, you know. They're so good." He continues eating them, moving on to talk about other fruits and their nutritional value.

Truth is, Jongin likes grapes, but he likes to make Kyungsoo happier more.

He remembers Tuesday as running after stray balloons in the park after practice. There's a birthday party going on, and there are always balloon parties becoming untied at them. Jongin tugs Kyungsoo closer, then waits for a kid to accidentally let go of one...

... then they're off and running, laughing like fools in love as they try to beat each other to the balloon they'll never catch. Kyungsoo trips over the grass and goes tumbling down, and Jongin starts rolling too just to be with the older. They crash at the end, bodies too warm to clash in this heat. But Jongin doesn't care as he presses closer and revels in Kyungsoo's flush.

"Do you think we'll ever catch one?" Kyungsoo asks, smiling because he knows the truth but also because he knows Jongin will lie for him, lie to make him happy.

"Of course." And Jongin would catch a million stray balloons just to see Kyungsoo smile like that.

Wednesday is dance practice, forgetting the same step by mere chance and meeting eyes in the mirror before cracking up. Kyungsoo's eyes are squeezed tight with laughter, bending over and clapping. Jongin's chuckling, eyes smiling as he watches the older.

The others are less amused, although the resentment eases away as the laughter continues. After the two recover, practice continues and orders are barked as the music blares, but there's still a hint of a smile in Kyungsoo's eyes and Jongin's heart.

Later that night, the members recall the incident.

"You two are like two peas in a pod. Two very stupid peas in a single cramped pod," Sehun says, shaking his head.

"Or soulmates even," Baekhyun offers as he eats a spoonful of rice.

Jongin and Kyungsoo laugh together and hope no one sees their interlaced fingers under the kitchen table.

Thursday is falling in love with Kyungsoo under the dim light of the practice room in sweats with a paper bag full of homemade kimchi spaghetti at their side. It's a quarter to six in the morning, and the world is theirs for the time being.

Shoulders touching, knees bumping, Kyungsoo whispers, "It's a new day," as the sun peeks over the horizon of the city outline. Jongin glances over, sees the sunlight reflecting off of Kyungsoo's face, and smiles.

He wraps an arm around Kyungsoo and pulls him closer, thoughts of new days and new ways to make Kyungsoo laugh in his mind. He starts with a kiss - that earns a chuckle.

"Hmm, what sort of response is that?" Kyungsoo asks, but he's beaming even brighter than the sun after a long night of darkness.

"I love you," Jongin replies with ease, and Kyungsoo laughs again but all Jongin hears is, "I love you, too."

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are hard to tell apart because they melt and mold together in a long memory of Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo in the recording booth, Kyungsoo in the kitchen, Kyungsoo in bed, Kyungsoo everywhere and anywhere with Jongin.

Jongin's not sure if Kyungsoo tripped up the stairs to the dorm on Saturday night or Sunday afternoon. He's not sure if they watched Pororo Friday afternoon or Sunday morning. He can't tell if Kyungsoo nagged him to make his bed Saturday or Friday morning. And he definitely doesn't know which kiss was for which day - he only remembers that each were soft and chaste, soft murmurs of silk against his skin.

All Jongin is sure of is that falling in love - and staying in love - are much easier when Kyungsoo is involved.

Jongin does not remember the days, only the memories. Monday is not a date, but rather grapes this week, and maybe something else next week. Maybe it'll be lolipops, or shared cookies.

They change each day, they change each week, but one thing stays the same: Kyungsoo. And so long as Jongin remembers Kyungsoo, he remembers everything.

a/n: as much as I love blockquoting stuff and how it looks on my laptop, it's atrocious on mobile devices so I'm just stopping that lol no one cares umm no betas for now because my friends are all busy with school just as I am ;_; so it's all self-revised for now. and yes, this is short. I didn't know how to make it longer without making it TOO long for the general idea of the story. if that makes sense to you.

thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoyed!
