"Looks like you got yourself some nice hardware there, Jayne. Too bad y'had to bring along all those guests." He gestured at the door as zombies began banging ineffectually at the steel construction.
"Got anythin' in there for me?"

He glared at the door, "Damn things won't lay down and die!"

He shrugged, putting a fresh magazine in his rifle. "You hear that?"

He almost sighed with relief when he heard Jayne's voice coupled with bullets. If Jayne had a gun, there was a very good chance they'd get out alive.
He heard the tell-tale shuffle and groan behind him, and forced himself not to flee. He lit the rag and threw the bottle. Flames roared in the corridor behind him, effective incinerating the creatures and also blocking off that route of escape. He turned tail and ran.
"JAAAAAAAAAAAAYNE! HELP!"

Jayne half-turned towards the scream and almost pulled the trigger as Simon came screaming around the corner.
"Dammit, Doc! Don't get in my line of fire!"

"We might have to worry about my line of fire in a few minutes. River's not here, is she?"

"These things are almost as bad as Reavers."

Every so often, she stops stock still, trying to sense Simon, sense anyone else from the crew, but every time she's just met with an assault of screams and screams and screams. So much pain... so much confusion...
She's scared. And in the end she resorts to crying out, trusting that Simon will hear her and find her. Like he always has.
"Simon! Simon!"

Slowly, she drops to the floor, knees pulled into her chest as she puts her hands over the ears, shaking as she tries to block out the cries, the terror, that's engulfing the base.
