Worried when Kara didn't show up after stalking off in a huff following Helo's revelations Lee started prowling the halls for her. Despite her outward show of anger he knew there was more there and that she would need to talk.

As he wandered the corridors he was amazed at what he saw, the place was huge and seemingly had everything. It was too bad, he imagined they could really enjoy some of the amenities offered together but Kara was right; they needed to put their energies into returning to the fleet.

He wandered for hours getting more and more concerned as he did. Studiously affecting disinterest to avoid interacting with the many others he ran across, both human and disturbingly obviously not, he kept his focus on finding Kara and trying to figure out what to say to her. She was right, Helo's liaison with a Cylon was a monumental betrayal of their people and they couldn't trust him.

The ECO's tale of returning to the Galactica in a Raider with Kara greatly alarmed Lee. If whatever had happened to Helo when he came to this place had fabricated such preposterous memories for Helo what might it eventually do to them if they stayed here? There was the child though, where had she come from? He shuddered to think of her probable manufacture but needed to focus on the real issue.

They had to get out and fast before their memories were affected. They also needed to assure that no one could follow them. Although Lee didn't think that the Helo Kara knew would purposely hurt or betray them, he had no idea about this iteration.

As more time passed and Lee continued to search his worry was now approaching panic proportions. He sighed with relief as he rounded a corner, in a now deserted section of the corridor, when he spotted Kara sitting against the wall. As he approached it became more and more obvious that she was fighting back tears. Silently Lee slid down to sit beside her and gently bumped her shoulder with his own.

Kara had known Lee was approaching her right away. She could always tell when he was around, familiar with the sound of his boots and the way he walked. He sat down next to her and bumped her shoulder. She didn't even look at him. Instead, she dryly said, "If you're coming here to tell me that you met a great Cylon girl and that she's already pregnant with twins, pull out your sidearm and shoot me now."

She was silent for a few moments, absentmindedly picking at a fingernail as she stared at the wall in front of her. Finally she said, "Helo. Helo, of all people. Gods, I never would've expected it...not in a million years..."

Random thoughts about the situation they were in continued to cycle through Kara's mind, "What if we can get back to Galactica? Do we take him with us... He'll be in so much trouble... And what about the little girl? Is she part-human, part-machine? How does that even work? And if we take her back to Galactica, what will happen to her? Will they kill her? Experiment on her? I mean...she's just a kid, right?"

She continued to angrily blink away her tears, finally looking at Lee, "Or what if we never get back? What if we're stuck here forever?"
