The last thing Shego remembered was wandering into the one-room building that would be where she taught, next to the park. After that, nothing; she groaned as she woke up, becoming angry when she couldn't float.
"What the fuck?" As she realized she had been sleeping (ghosts don't sleep), she opened her eyes and looked around. She had passed out in the back of the room, and she stared at the desks for a moment before standing.
She looked at her hands. They weren't see-through; they had substance. Shaking slightly, she reached out to touch a desk.
And she connected.
Removing her hand, Shego looked for DemiDevimon.
"D?" She didn't know if she had passed or what was going on, but she was scared that DemiDevimon was gone.
He's my partner. He's all I have.
But as she looked up, she saw him hanging upside-down on the light. Shego couldn't help but grin as she hurled a plasma blast at him.
"OUCH SHEGO THAT H- hey, what." Confused, DemiDevimon floated over to Shego, landing on her shoulder and digging his claws in.
"OW, D-" Shego paused. The two stared at each other for a moment, and then..
"WE'RE ALIVE!" They laughed, playfully pushing one another as they ran out of the building and into the park. Shego looked up, and had to remember to shield her eyes from the sun. As a reaction she teared up, but the tears kept coming and she didn't care because she was alive and everything would be okay.
"Watch it!" Shego looked at the guy who snapped at her for standing in the walkway, and grinned. He gave her an odd look before continuing.
"Sheeg, is this for reals?"
"I don't know. I think so. Hey- is that Anakin? Is he drunk? What is that bitch doing?" Shego turned to stare at her best friend curiously. She slowly smirked.
"Hey, D."
"Yeah?"
"Watch this. Watch this." Lighting up her plasma, she fired a blast at the tree next to him and yeah- yeah, oh, that tree's on fire. Shego and DemiDevimon are laughing their asses off now because it's the greatest thing they've ever seen.
