Is it weird that I get excited for orthodontist check ups and rebanding? I think so.
I turned in my teach for america application earlier this week. The deadline is tomorrow. I should be hearing back fairly soon if I get an interview. If not, well then I'm starting with a clean slate I suppose. It'll be interesting.
Aside from that, my life is going well right now. No major drama or problems, just pretty chill. I'm trying to keep up with my work and reading and so far it's going well. I'm also going to try and get a head start on the various papers I have to write for this quarter so hopefully that'll happen.
I'm really excited for this upcoming three-day weekend, including Valentine's Day :) We're planning on going to the Exploratorium and an awesome vegan restaurant and a photobooth and see a musical or a movie. Fun fun. Oh! and tomorrow will be Terra party with the theme being "SEX" hahaha. We're so to the point.
My life is so boring, but I like it this way. I'm super happy :D

For those of you guys at home, there's a news story about an 18 year-old who was 8 months pregnant and got hit and killed by a car in downtown Cat City. I just found out that the woman who is suspected of the hit-and-run was my mom's best friend. They haven't talked in two years. Her husband works for the Cathedral City Police Department. The story is here. That's her picture.
How does shit like this happen? I don't know how to react. I'm just...in shock about the whole thing. I.....can't believe people. My mom called me on the phone and told me about it, crying. Ughhh. I feel like a terrible person because I know her.
