Summer Vacation, Day 3
Dear Diary,
I am such a fan of Colin Meloy and the Decemberists.
Okay, so that sounds much worse than I had imagined, but whatever. The concert in Philadelphia last night was amazing. Johanna and I were there really early which meant that we were able to stand right at the foot of the stage for the entire show. There was just one person between us and the rail, and frankly that was fine. From the opening song on, the entire set was played so well, and Colin was soooo geek cute (mmm), and the music was so good...there are no words, just the goofy grin that I wore for the entire show. Johanna was laughing at me and my faces. :-)
Right now Johanna's brother and father are in the backyard being...well, they're being weird, but in a good, cool way. They're playing the soundtrack to "2001: A Space Odyssey" while her brother smashes a bear skull with a Medieval-style ax. Personally, I think they should film it, then set it to music afterwards, but hey.
I have to call Dan when I'm done writing this so that we can figure out the logistics of me getting to be with him tomorrow (!!). Actually, I'm going to do that now. So much for writing anything substantial tonight. *shrug*
