The Blue Nativity - a.k.a. more Jim Shore

Dec 08, 2012 16:58

Visitors were coming and I suddenly felt the place wasn't Christmas-y enough so dragged the large Jim Shore nativity carton down from the roof. Luckily it's bulky but not heavy and no Christmas junkies or nativity personnel were injured in the exercise.

Because people were expected shortly the blue nativity went up in one hit - normally there's quite a production about it ... first the kings over successive days, then the shepherds, etc. Not this year. But it is in the 'usual' place, which is on the book case in the corner of the hallway.

There's a looming problem as I try to clear enough time to get the tree down from the roof - and decorate it. The usual location for the tree (in the back corner of the window ledge of the living room) is being used as a maintenance facility for radio-controlled helicopters.

This new hobby of Gary's can not be allowed to slow the tide of Christmas decorating!

Another cat photo shoot in the midst of all this Christmas-ness:

Mocha (on a chair with one of Julie's cushion covers in the background), and Sam outside.
