whooping cranes are migrating in record numbers. i heard it on npr this morning and i felt so happy. i love that station because of this kind of thing. the news, yeah, i need to get it somehow or else i'll pick it up on the playground and then who knows what kind of world view i'll get, but that's not the reason i tune in. i like to hear stories about people building personal roller coasters and holding regular sea chanty preservation sing alongs. i believe i live for this.
