Bored and wanted to just pen down some stuff in my head. Some thoughts about Phoenix, him in canon, the seven year gap and now being in Death City.

GENERAL

• Still very much has his fear of heights, though he is much better about it... well, as long as he doesn't think about looking down.
  
• Used to be terrified of thunder and lightning; better about it nowadays, though he gets jumpy during thunderstorms.
  
• Under Trucy's photo in the locket that he wears is another photo - a smaller copy of this photo, folded and tucked inside.
  
• The beanie that he wears is totally bought/made by Trucy, and its one of his dearest possessions. Same goes for the badge, given to him by Ema.
  
• Keeps Mia's law books out of respect for her, and a wordless apology for all that he had to do in the last seven years for the sake of his goal.
  
• Is three-quarters American; he has some Japanese blood within him from his paternal grandfather. Of course, its not that all noticeable.
  
• His full name would be Phoenix 'Ryuuichi' Wright, Ryuuichi being the Japanese name which was given to him.
  
• Has no desire to return to law; Phoenix believes that he's spent enough time in there, and even if he does return... it will never be the same for him. He's been broken by the law in more ways than anyone can imagine, and even though its changed, Phoenix thinks that he has no right to stand in a court of law again because...
  
• ...yes, the bloody ace of spades was indeed forged by him. And because of that, he knows he has no right to be in court again.
  
• Trucy is the real breadwinner for the family; her pay is about twice to trice of what Phoenix himself gets for his poker and piano jobs.
  
• The lone tune that he can play on the piano is - yes, because I am that unoriginal - Piano Man.
  
• Is rather fit, if only because he still cycles around to and from work and when he has to pick up Trucy from school.
  
• No, he still does not have a driving licence.
  
• Is bisexual, though of course he went straight for Iris back in his college years. After that though, he has never been in another relationship - and still doesn't intend to, because...
  
• ...the last seven years have changed him too much to be comfortable with himself, let alone anyone else. His current personality is more or less a way to hide his own insecurities and worries.

OTHER PEOPLE

• Despite all his trolling, he does see Apollo as a fine lawyer, and really hopes that the younger man will prove himself to be the lawyer that Phoenix himself could never be.
  
• In spite of all that Kristoph has done - in the end, Phoenix does pity him. Somewhat. Though he can never truly forgive him.
  
• Edgeworth in his time is dead by the time that Apollo Justice starts; he was killed off by Kristoph about a year or so back because he was getting too close to the truth. The fact that he was unable to protect the prosecutor stands as his biggest regret even until now.
  
• Had developed feelings for Edgeworth at one point, but never dared to tell him - and never will, now that he's dead.
  
• Hence with Edgeworth at Death City, Phoenix's main priority and resolve is to ensure that he is alright - and it is something that Phoenix will do, no matter the cost.
  
• Trucy was the one reason why he didn't succumb during his darkest hours of his life - she's his pillar of support, and he's going through each day because of her.
  
• Is good friends with Guy Eldoon, and eats at his store at least once a week.
  
• Likes to chat with Plum Kitaki, though he does try to ignore the whole yakuza/mafia bit.
  
• Occasionally troubles himself with one Wendy Oldbag when applicable.
  
• Has been on decent terms with Klavier ever since Kristoph was put away; he does appreciate and respect the younger prosecutor, air guitar and rock star persona aside.
  
• Keeps in good contact with the Fey Family; they come to visit him every once in a while.
  
• Possibly has kept in contact with one Hershel Layton.
