Back...from THE DEAD!
Um...hi?
I have no idea if anyone still checks livejournal, so this is sort of a test. I feel so guilty about my poor little blog, after leaving it to run off with Facebook like the hussy I am.
Fact is, I really miss it here. When I was writing regularly, there were convenient chronological accounts of my life and what was going on, which now are fun (and often surprisingly informative) to go back and read. When I stopped posting as much, there started to be huge gaps, and while much of that is over on FB somewhere, it's in little sound bites and much harder to search.
And all of those facts will become even more relevant now that I have a little one on the way. Not that I will have much time for blogging once the baby is here--yes, I do realize that. But still, there will be certain things I want to archive, not just share, and while I may have less electronic ways of doing that as well, this is still a happy place to put stuff.
So. News of the day: tomorrow is our 21-week ultrasound! This means that in 18 hours or so, we'll be finding out (with a little cooperation from the little one) whether it's a boy or girl that's cooking in there. No true hopes one way or the other, I guess, or at least none that I'm admitting to myself, but I will say that we have two excellent girls' names picked out and have had exactly no luck with boys' names. I want to have one of each picked out no matter what we find out tomorrow, just in case, but it would still be nice to have a little of the pressure off, I guess.
All right, now we get to find out how much I'll stick with this...!
