Laptop recommendations, please!
My cable has just finally pretty much died, I managed to get it charging again but I really don't think the it's going to last much longer. It's a shame because the laptop is in fine working order. :-(
So I ran up to the laptop shop to see if there was any way of replacing just that bit of cable or if it was repairable, and immediately he just said no lol. I had a look at the laptops in there and a few of them caught my eye, I'm pretty much trying to choose between two (I don't know the model numbers, only the brands):
Compaq. 1gb RAM, VERY good graphics card, 160gb (I think) hard drive, which is more than ample for me. £329 £286
HP. 4gb RAM, pretty good graphics card, 250gb hard drive. £429 £373
Any experiences with these brands, either good or bad? Or would you REALLY recommend another brand? (I'm also considering Dell but they cost a bit more than I'd like to spend) I'd like more than 1gb RAM but if Compaq are good, I might look into other laptops of theirs.
