Festivids sign-ups are open
I have signed up. Thanks to its alphabetization of requests, the automated email from my sign-up ended thus:

I need to write my letter, and think over my offers more carefully. Finding vid songs is hard, but better to scramble now to find one than to realize after assignments go out that I'm stuck.
Other people have already started posting letters. I've begun my yearly list of Dear Festividder letters by fandom. It might be a little early; sign-ups are open until the 29th, so people have time to change their requests, but people who have publicly posted their letters are not likely to change. Last year some time after sign-ups closed the Festivids website unveiled a public list of everyone's requested fandoms, including links to their letters. If that is repeated this year, it will make my hand compiled list less necessary. It's still nice to have an alphabetical list of fandoms, I think.
