it cracks right through your heart just like lightning through the sky
jeff got me a violin. i'm super stoked, i've wanted one for awhile. problem is i am not musically inclined at all, and it's like the one instrument he knows nothing about. maybe, hopefully, i'll find cheap lessons somewhere? with all this downtime an instrument to practice will rule!!
we found a new house too!! its the most gorgeous place ever. it was built in the 20's and has beautiful, intricate wood carvings all over (fireplace, stairs, molding) and sweet glass light fixtures, TWO porches, and a huge kitchen with an island and everything. two living rooms (great for house shows if any of my friends want to tour though, please please please!!), 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, backyard, all the rooms are flooded with natural light. there are even a bunch of cool inlets in the walls in the hallways that i can showcase all my skulls. man. i'm giddy with excitement over this place. oh, everyone has their own room and rents only 225$ each. and once conor and possibly phil get here it will be like a hundred less. its ridiculous how much my quality of life is going up being unemployed and out of san francisco. the only thing lacking is quality friends and shows.
i'm still trying to find an under the table job while my unemployment checks are still coming in, and before i start school. but so far, no luck. although i may be able to pick up a night at this bar which would be kinda awesome. its just a saturday, and it makes me nervous to start working on such a busy night since my bartending experience is on a smaller scale. we'll see.
i'm starting to miss my friends a lot. i've been turning into a recluse when jeff isn't around because i just don't care to socialize with my roommates and their friends. well, my roommates are awesome, but its just draining to be meeting their friends when i don't have anything in common with them. they just come over to smoke pot and drink. and while i like drinking and all, not everyday, and not when i'm just sitting around with people i can't relate to. i know once we move into the new place i'll be super busy gardening and cooking and painting, and now hopefully practicing my violin. but i'm going to try and convince as many people to come visit as i can. that includes all of you guys.
