today it was snowing towards the end of the work day. Patrick was happy. I went out and started my car. I was letting it warm up when Stan came over and swept the half inch of snow that had accumulated on my car! I told him thanks and he offered me a brush. I told him I probably had one, but thanks anyways.
I didn't tell him this, but I never sweep off my car, and almost never scrape ice off. I just drive and let the wipers/defroster/wind from high speed do the work. It's a fun system, always an adventure in heavy snow. I feel dangerous when I can only see through two inches of my windshield and I'm going 60 miles an hour.
Yesterday on KSUA they played "Smells Like Nirvana" by Weird Al. Then Angel played one of my favorite songs ever. MxPx covering Petra's "I Can Be Friends With You".
Here are the lyrics:
I can be friends with you
There's no better friend
That a man can know
I can be friends with you
And I feel so special
Because you I know
I don't know the gardner
Even though I'm a resident
Don't want trouble with the daily world
Don't care for the president
I know I can be with you
I don't have to wait in line
You're the almighty creator of all the world
And you're also a friend of mine
When I have a problem
I can always come to you
Regardless of the situation
I know you'll know what to do
You put your arm around me
You speak so tenderly
And I feel better just to know you care
Yeah, you took the time for me
I'm no special person
I've a spot in the heart for you
But you treat me like I'm the only one
With whom you'd have to do
You call so loud around
You're with me every day
I love you not because of me
And I'm glad that I can say
while looking up the lyrics to this song, I learned that Joy Electric covered "I'm OK, You're OK" (by MxPx) and "Make My Life A Prayer To You" (by Keith Green) on the "Children of the Lord" Maxi-single, also released on "CHRISTIANsongs". Wild.
ALSO the "Passion of the Christ" soundtrack has a track by MxPx featuring Mark Hoppus (singer, bass player of Blink-182). This is easily the funniest thing I've heard all day.
I guess Mark also sang backup vocals on "Panic", a new cd by MxPx. You can learn so much on the internet.
Secret Clubhouse under the stairs. Secret playground under the stars. I really like exploring. Yesterday I learned a lot about the "
Discovery Lab" from
Chris Gonzales. I'm excited to use it.
Me and Seth Bozma started playing worship. It's gonna be really great. Old skool punk worship. What I've wanted since I was thirteen.
