So on a day like today...

I went food shopping today to get all the stuff my mum wants to buy me for uni. And she bought me a ton of stuff. Not that I'm complaining- I'll be skint when I get there, and all this food's probably gonna last me about two weeks. And I found out that a vegan diet doesn't actually seem that difficult. I'd definitely recommend it- it's made by the same people who directed Delicatessen and Amelie, and it's like some kind of weird dream. Ron Perlman's in it as well.
But it is the kind of film that most people don't like until they've seen it twice. I don't think I really understand half of it yet.

Lol, I'm so clueless about loans that I didn't realise that the time you applied affected the time you were paid. I did apply quite early tho. I think I got it late last year as well. I think I should be alright tho- I just paid an extra £200 into my HSBC account, and there was nearly £100 in there anyway from when the housing deposit from last year got refunded, and last year I managed to get through the whole of Fresher's Week on the same £50 note anyway.

I don't think going vegan actually means needing to give up chocolate any more. I was looking through Holland and Barratt's earlier (which I nearly got confused with Julian Graves... guess what was on my mind) and I found this carob powder, which is the vegan chocolate alternative, and I'm sure you can buy bars of it as well. If not, there's probably a recipe somewhere for vegan chocolate. I found the recipe section of the Vegan Society website, and it's about 70% cake. I was probably way too excited when I found that out.
I do know what you mean tho- I gave up alcohol for Lent last year because chocolate was the one thing I would hate to give up more, lol.
