The Warden's out. Cuffs are gone. Us being 'killed' was nothing more than an illusion.

Do we know what "out" means for the Warden?

Yeah, I noticed the cuff wasn't on me when I woke up.

Then no one's hurt... for the moment?

Worst case scenario, dead. Or captured.

No one except that idiot who tried to escape.

Tch... damn...

That... wasn't necessary for the Keepers to do. That was just cruel. But it's why we have to make sure no one else goes flying off the handle.

I agree, Mister Jing. Panicking will not serve to help us in any way.

It's not people panicking so much I'm worried about. The cuffs, as much as we complained about them, were a real safety for us. With them gone, I think people will try to get out of hand, and that puts everyone at risk on two fronts.

[tired and strained and still not sounding like herself]

The Indigeo seems to be just as absent as the Warden. I'll -- none of you will starve, though.

The Indigeo's offline too? Great.

Are you all right?

I'll be doing what I can in that regard.

No.

I know. Thank you, but don't try to do everything yourself. Others here can help too.

...

Is there anything... I'm sorry, when everything was going on I heard your message and when...

The buildings were not damaged. And if someone should try to take advantage of the cuffs being gone, they will be dealt with.

At least that's something.

I think it's going to be a question of 'when', not 'if'. Unfortunately.

Yes, it is.

Perhaps. Until then, I will have faith in the residents.

Faith, huh?

The stores people prepared before this happened should still be available for now, and Persephone can grow food once it begins to wear out if requisitions don't become available again. There doesn't seem to be any damage to the compound. Without the cuffs, there will be more battles.

This is exactly what the aim of the council was supposed to avert.

I know. We can't... that just can't happen.

waterfell October 19 2008, 01:30:20 UTC
I think it's better not to blame yourself for that. The people who will cause unnecessary problems wouldn't have been stopped by the council anyway. And the people who will stop them will still stop them.

My world's war was already happening here. With the cuffs gone, it will grow. But there's no reason for outsiders to be hurt. None of us should want that.

Maybe.

There's no reason for anyone to get hurt, insiders or outsiders. Just because a bunch of you are from the same world doesn't give you any moer free pass to start attacking each other.
