Fuck Disney?
Woooo! Weird story today!!
So here's the deal - I went to the Barnes $ Noble in Brookdale Mall for an interview, and after two questions, a man rushes over and whispers something into the manager's ear. Carolynn - the manager - leapt up out of the chair, grabbed her walkie-talkie and flipped it to intercom.
"I have just been informed that Brookdale Mall needs to be evacauted immediately at this time, so everyone needs to calmly proceed to the exit NOW. We'll keep you informed as soon as we know what's going on. For now, everyone must evacuate the building."
Holy shit!! Wtf, mate? So I decided to head outside with the herd, thinking, 'hey, smoke break, neat.' Wondered if it was a bomb threat - and if so, why was I standing with the dolts right outside the door?
Moved to a proper distance (you know, because I have extensive experience with the approximate fall out area of bomb zones...?!??!?) and listened to sirens until people started filing back in.
Turns out that there was a concert on the other side of the mall, sponsored by Radio Disney. The kids got trampled and squished, then the STAGE COLLAPSED and the 12 year olds decided to RIOT. About 50 sqauds showed up, canine units included, and we got to watch through the gate as police with bullet proof guns and german shepards marched the delinquents out of the mall.
Shit like this always happens around me, I swear.
But hey, I'm pretty sure I got the job. Woooot!
