The more things change...

Ok so, everything's changed.  Long story short:  I've moved, and I'm unemployed- happily so.  I'm a full-time student.  There's my update.

Short story long:  Anything by Dickens  (KoL reference here- and it's really true, I know this because I'm reading "Great Expectations" right now)

But seriously...  I live in the freaking suburbs!  There's crickets and stuff.  And squirrels.  Many squirrels.   And I write papers... all the time.

Basically the story goes:  after years of flittering around without any specific aim, going to school part time, working in all kinds of different, sometimes interesting, but generally thankless jobs, last spring I decided that I had been essentially procrastinating my entire life and I needed to move forward, so I applied to an adult program at Sarah Lawrence College.

I got in.   I quit my job, applied for all kinds of scholarships and loans, moved into a very nice little basement apartment in Bronxville, just a few minutes walk from campus, and now here I am!  A real college student... with real loans (eek!).

Anyway, my life is totally different, and so far I love it.  There are some drawbacks, though.  Mr. Yuck and I really only get to see each other on the weekends now, and I miss the convenience of the city.   I've had a few brief moments of loneliness and missing Mr. Yuck, but I've been so busy writing papers and making artstuffs (yay!) that those moments are fleeting.

So many run on sentences, sorry.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

How're you all doing?
