my computer drug up some of Senor Coconut's excellent Yellow Magic Orchestra tribute album, and was playing the song "Rydeen".

Good stuff, background entertainment, I'm Dice-wars-ing along and nothing's gonna bring me down.

Uh-oh.

I recognize a HOOOOOOOOOK

If you remember the "shave and a haircut scene from Roger Rabbit, or the leprechaun's charming proclivity towards cobblering, or even any number of cereal mascots and their urges, you have an idea of the impressive laser focus of OCD that happens in my brain when I recognize a hook in a song.

I recall, particularly, a wave whine, 8-bit style, and can only assume that it must be a Saskrotch song or a video game theft. A quick scan of the two Saskrotch songs I suspected turned up nothing, and then Swifty finds this fucking thing:

I mean it's not what I was looking for, per se, but holy shit.

No, I must not be distracted. I must find this song. And I focused on the trill, on the way the sound degraded at the top of the peaks, on the way it faded into drum break-beats....waitaminnit!
