First post of 2014! Yaaaay!Happy new year guys. I hope you all had a really wonderful holiday season and an even better new year.
I've actually been off of work for the past two weeks. Both the school and the dance studio have been closed, and I've been free for the past two weeks now. Let me tell you, it's been lovely. I always feel so much more productive when I have a day off, because I am able to actually do things at a normal time and not have to wait till I'm off of work, or do them quickly when I'm on my lunch break. And, sleeping in an extra two hours is always lovely too of course.
But it's back to work tomorrow, and I was actually lying in bed this morning close to tears, because I'm ready to go back, but not ready yet. How the hell did I do it when I was in college and nearly had a whole month off. Sheesh! So tomorrow starts the second half of the school year, the end half, and I'm looking forward to that. I also start teaching dance again on Tuesday, and since we'll have to start recital dances next month, it's my favorite time of year; recital time! I had a worry though, and I hope the girls in the classes that I'm taking over will be pleased that I'm taking over, and won't be too bummed out about it. I want it to be a positive thing ya' know.
I don't know if I want to call them resolutions, but there are two things I'd like to work on this year.
1) Be better a livejournal. I want to be a better lj friend and comment, and be there as much as I can. This on-line community is just as important to me as anything else, and I want to do better at it. Even if I don't post, I want people to know I'm still there.
2)I want to eat better. If you were around in April, you might remember I had surgery to remove my gallbladder, and since then there are just certain things I can't eat. Yes, I eat them anyway, but if I do, they go right through me, and then my stomach hurts and I feel yuck. I just want to try to do better with that, and try and treat my body better, since I didn't do a very good job of it the first time.
