( i just realized that this icon worked again. you're going to be seeing a lot of it)
This weekend I had the wonderful pleasure of spending some time with the wonderful
millionstar herself, Deniese. My trip to visit last last year didn't work out, and this was one of the only weekends off work that I had, so I pounced on the opportunity to spend time with one of my dearest sweetest friends. I hopped on a red-eye on Thursday night, and spent Friday, Saturday, and the majority of Sunday with Deniese in her neck of the woods. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't willing to cooperate this weekend, so it was rainy and cloudy and wet, but this desert girl wasn't complaining having to trade 113 degree weather for rain. So the all too short time with Deniese was spent looking at the BEAUTIFUL sights and nature surrounding her neck of the woods, finding lots of animals along the way deer, wild turkey(!!), chipmunks, bears, and of course having lots of laughs, Musey Jokes, and making sweet memories along the way.
Some of my highlights include:
+Finding Cheerwine on tap. I just had to tweet a
picture of course!
+Stopping at an apple orchard, and getting to listen to bluegrass music, and watch cloggers dance during a rain storm.
+Having hushpuppies for the first time
+IHOP dates
+And obviously getting to spend time with
millionstar of course.
It always happens that I never take as many pictures as I would like, but I did take a few (edited):
The beautiful view!
I won't tell you what happened at this overlook, but I really like this picture <33
We visited an AWESOME nature preserve called Grandfather Mountain, and I got to see a bear! He was beautiful.
Also on Grandfather Mountain, I walked across a mile high swinging bridge. It was terrifying but awesome. This is proof.
I made it! Check out that fog. Yikes!
And of course, filming a
Vine featuring our best Bellamy duck face, Dom meet in the back of the bus look, was necessary.
So that was my weekend! It was nice to get away, and I'm so happy that I got to spend time with Deniese at the same time. Looking forward to our next adventure sweet D.
