The Clash- "I Fought The Law"
Breakin' rocks in the hot sun
I fought the law and the law won
I needed money 'cause I had none
I fought the law and the law won
I left my baby and it feels so bad
Guess my race is run
She's the best girl that I ever had
I fought the law and the law won
I fought the law and the...
Robbin' people with a six-gun
I fought the law and the law won
I miss my baby and i lmiss my fun,
I fought the law and the law won
I miss my baby and i feel so sad
I guess my race is run
She's the best girl that I ever had
I fought the law and the law won
I fought the law and the...
I fought the law and the law won
I fought the law and the...
So I'm getting real excited for going to Germany. Today I got $125 from relatives to spend there. I'm planning on getting stuff. I'm also getting real nervous about the trip. I mean, I'm afraid I don't know enough German to actually live there for 3 weeks. From what Frau Gallogly is saying, it shouldn't be a problem. I hope so. I really like my exchange parter, Jana Heuss. She's pretty cool. I think I'll get along well with her. She was saying that we'll be watching a LOT of soccer, and I wouldn't doubt it: the World Cup of Soccer is in Germany. My fear with that is if the USA plays Germany, and wins, I will be lynched. YIKES! I plan on running there, and keeping up with my Cross Country schedule. Picture this: me running along the Rhine River. It'll be an amazing trip, I reckon.
I'll be going out for one of the parts in the musical next year, and I do believe it will be for the part of one of the chinese henchmen. SO the first musical I will be doing, I will be speaking entirely in Chinese. Lovely.
Tomorrow is going to be fun: drive my mom to work for 8, come back, go to school for 9, study up for Algebra II and do some German stuff, go to the middle school for 12 to recruit for XC, band practice at around 2, orthodontist at 3:30, then show at Westside Teen Center at 5:30. Hooray.
I spent 40 minutes on the phone with Marie today, primarily talking about The Sims 2, and awesome game.
Graduation was last Friday. Which means no more Jason Ayr, Kyle Pierce, and most importantly, no Arielle Rollins :(
I've been reading an awesome book by Harry Turtledove called "How Few Remain." It's about WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED if the Confederacy won the Civil War. The book, the beginning of a hugfe series, takes place in 1881, when the Confederates purchase some land from Mexico, which alarms the US. The US declares war, and the Second Mexican War takes place. Many historical figures appear in the book, such as Confederate generals James Longstreet (who is the President of the CSA), J.E.B. Stuart, and Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson, who dies in the real civil war, but is alive in the series. For the US, Abe Lincoln was not reelected, due to his failure to keep the Union together, and becomes leader of the Socialist Party, which preaches that slavery still exists in the US, but not between blacks and white, which was abolished, but in the form of Capitalist master and Worker slave. Also some main characters are General George Custer, and a young Theodore Roosevelt. It is an awesome book. For history buffs, I highly recommend it.
Well, I'm tired. Night.
<3 Marie, whose dwarf Sasquatch can kick my leprechauns' ass.
