"Turns out Jesus wasn't like what we expected...." -Family Guy
Ahaha thats such an awesome show. I love Family Guy.
Hmm so lets see. Saturday was our show at the West Springfield Teen Center. Mike, Sam and I were so psyched to be playing with the Prozacs and The Strikeouts, which are two excellent bands in the area. Sam drove there with our mom's van, which was SICK. I want that thing. So we get to the Teen Center and hang out until it's time to play. The only disappointing thing about the show was that there was maybe 30 people there the entire night. So that sucked. Friday Night, the openers, had a problem starting on time, due to their bassist's car breaking down. They started to play without him, nonetheless. They weren't bad. We went on after them. We played all of our stuff except for Hypocrasies. Not much crowd support, due to the lack of a crowd haha ^-^ but it was real fun. THANKS SO MUCH TO MARIE, KALI, KIRSTEN,and MARK for coming out to see us, and SEAN from St. Mary's. We will be playing with The Prozacs and The Strikeouts again on June 12, so be there!
Sunday night was a lot better. It was the annual Battle of the Bands at the Springfield Jewish Community Center. We went on at 10:30 and absolutely kicked ass. Unfortunately, we didn't placeyet again this year (year number 3) because for some reason the JCC hates us. Instead, some 8th graders who did like 3 songs took 3rd place. We should have at least made it there. Oh well. We're totally taking it next year. AGAIN, we'd like to thank everyone who came out to see us. You guys rock.
Possibly the best part of both shows, besides playing, was spending time with Marie. She came to both shows. <3
Maura was at the JCC, too. Surprisingly, I didn't find it too awkward, because we're cool like that.
I was up late last night. I'm tired.
Bleh.
