Jon got home early today and we were sitting on the couch watching TV when all of the sudden we hear "POP POP POP". The cats scattered and Jon & I both jumped. Sounded like gun shots! We look out the window and the yard is smoking!
Apparently some kids decided to take a large bottle rocket, light it, and throw it in our yard. They're lucky they didn't hit the window because I'm sure it would have shattered.
A couple of the neighbors were outside after they heard it, and told Jon that they've been doing it all day to various houses. Lovely!
Poor kitties are still walking around the house on edge. :(
